I bought this PFD first a size too big, and returned it for the right size. Now that i have the right size, perhaps this PFD style isn't for me. I would be using it for kayaking, but just from wearing it around the house and moving my arms in a motion similar to that of paddling in a kayak, the pockets, although convenient are a tad too bulky and too close to the sides and the inside of my arms rub against them. I imagine after a whole day or even a couple hours on the water, i'd have serious rawness going on.The jacket is great quality, i just feel like the placement of the pockets can be better designed, and the PFD itself is a bit bulkier than i would personally like. Again, perhaps this style just isn't a good fit for me, but it is a great quality PFD and i would recommend it based on that.

Only used this once, but I am very happy with it. Does not ride up while you are paddling and it is very comfortable. For the most part, I forgot that I had it on. My husband and I both bought one (even though they say they are for women). He grew up on the water and has worn many PFDs and he thinks this one is the most comfortable he has ever worn. It has many adjustment points and lots of pockets. Definitely a good value.

For a kayaker, a comfortable PFD (personal flotational device) makes your paddling day all the better. Yes, the label says WOMENS but at my kayak club, the guys prefer this life jacket. The fit is great and I never feel like I can't wait to get out of it. It's a shorty with plenty of arm room, lots of pockets and very adjustable. It also has reflector tape back and front. I knew what I wanted in terms of size and model before I bought this one since I had tried out the ones at the kayak club already ( Sebagocanoeclub.org ). The type of PFD you use is obviously a personal choice but I can say that I am very happy with this one.
