The tank came with the hold down clips that Amazon says you should buy with it. So, if that's a fair price to begin with, adjusting for the clips (which are over priced) makes it a steal.You can undo the brass fitting (use two big adjustable or fitting crescent wrenches)so you can install the quick connect and then reinstall the brass fitting into the aluminum block on the tank with teflon paste.No, you can't put weight on the tank when it is full... the top deflects and the fuel comes out the fill (duh, but thought I'd share that with you).The fuel gauge can get hung up, so if you need to verify fuel remaining, be sure to rattle its cage, i.e. take it out, put it back and verify. I found that at lower levels the gauge was not helpful. I think my only answer is to carry a spare 6-gallon portable tank anyway when 15 gallons is potentially not enough.

Purchased this tank after their 12 gallon portable tank split at the seams under Texas heat and pressure. It was less than a month old. This one is much better constructed, much heavier plastic, no seams. Fuel connector is machined aluminum, not plastic. Comes with hold-down brackets.

I bought this tank to replace an under deck aluminum tank on a 95 Reinell 18'. The oem tank corroded and leaked badly. This tank fit perfect under the back seat and no more fuel loss into the bilge.I have to leave the fill cap loose as it doesnt seem to vent too well though.
