Probably a good buy for the money, but both wife and I thought it was uncomfortable to wear unless maybe it was being worn over a shirt or coat with a collar as the design of the neck was such that it cut into the neck with only a t shirt on. I think for most wearers it would probably be ok. I am returning based on comfort factor.

I needed a personal flotation device (PFD) for a missions trip. I did a lot of research and felt I needed a type 1 device because we were going to be traveling up river to a remote area. The commercial PFD that I bought was way too bulky for packing and traveling by air so after some more reseach I decided to invest in an inflatable PFD. This was an excellent choice! I was able to pack it into my luggage and it was easy to put on. It is auto inflatable so I wouldn't have to worry about how to activate it since it would activate if I were to fall into water, plus it also had a backup manual inflation methond just in case. I felt very safe as we travelled six hours up the river in a canoe with an outboard motor! It was definitely worth the extra cost.

My honey-bunny loves it. She has mentioned an inflatable vest for our casual boating trips. She now has her own personal vest, it fits great and she loves it... and it's red.
