I just made a 5200 Km round trip from Monterrey MX to Atlanta GA and the Rocketbox did it's job, I don't feel any vibration due to the strong winds on the road, most of the part of the trip was raining and everything inside was in perfect conditions. The cargo box looks great and fits perfect in the Chrysler, Town & Country. don't hesitate to invest your money, is worth it.

We are using this on a 3rd generation Honda CRV and recently finish driving over 1600miles round trip from S.CA so S.OR with it.It’s a good fit for our small SUV. It does not interfere with the antenna or rear hatch. It also does not hang over the front windshield…AND I can get the CRV in the garage with the box on! ...just barely. It also sits just about perfectly level on top(you don’t want the nose pointing up).Wind – yes we could feel the CRV pushed around more than usual in gustsRain – It stayed dry inside. We hit plenty of rain, but nothing too heavy.Bugs – No bugs made it inside.MPG impact – big hit on the CRV (around 4-5 mpg less) but we were driving about 78mph (fast for our CRV) most of the way….averaged about 22 mpg.The ridges on the bottom are deep and waste already limited space. It’s a little narrower than I wanted. 5-6 more inches wide would be perfect for me. I think this is the biggest Yakima makes RocketBoxes now so they can avoid special freight shipping.Comparing this to the widely available but discontinued RocketBox 15s: The Pro 14 is a better box for us. You lose a cubic foot (mostly in width) but the 15s always looked like the wind was about to rip the top open on the highway (looking through the sun roof). The nose on the 15s flexed a lot and this was evident by all the dead bugs inside at the end of the trip. Plus I’ve read reviews about people having gear fly out the back of the 15s although I suspect that’s also caused by over stuffing it. The 15s also pointed nose up slightly on the CRV and I had to make some mods to the rear cross bar to level it out better.As far as shipping…ours arrived via Fed Ex from SC. Ironically I could see from a prior shipping label it had shipped from CA before that and I think it was manufactured in WA so this huge box shipped from WA to CA across the country to SC, and back to CA….and it was all in one piece thankfully.
