Product Description
The Wilson Blade 98 BLX updates the K Blade 98 with the improved feel and frame feedback offered by basalt fiber (BLX) technology. Continues the traditional feel in the same vein as the SixOne 95 BLX, but in a lighter, more maneuverable package. A 21mm flat beam and 98 square inch headsize provide solid feel and control for intermediate to advanced players with a faster swing. A versatile performer from all points on the court.
Wilson introduces the use of Basalt fiber (BLX) technology for improved feel and frame feedback, continuing to feature classic feel in the same tradition as the previous-generation K Blade 98 and nBlade 98, coupled with the added feel and stability of BLX technology. Dense 18x20 string bed further enhances control and stringbed stiffness for advanced players. Specifications are nearly identical with the past generation K Blade 98. BLX builds upon the very popular K Factor design, offering a refinement of Wilson frame technology that provides the ultimate in feel and performance. Uses new Wilson Pro Hybrid Grip, which offers thinner (1.6mm) synthetic grip comfort, combined with a leather base for ultimate feel.

The Wilson BLX 98 is the perfect racket for someone that is looking for control and the racket to do a lot of work for you. I get a lot of speed off of this racket and it hits flat really well. It is head heavy and provides a easy powerful shot without trying. Although, I am a girl, and I don't hit with that much top spin anyway. This racket it pretty heavy and if you aren't that strong, you should probably go with the lite of this racket. I absolutely love mine and I have two (one in case i pop a string, of course). I am not that great of a player and this racket really takes care of me, but make sure you are strong enough to handle a head heavy racket. If you're looking to move up or just play pro this is the racket. Serena Williams uses this racket, but the lite version I am pretty sure. Plus it's good looking with a gold and black color scheme. There are bags to match this racket too!
